Tyvek® is a wondrous material from the textile giant, DuPont®. Made from high-density polyethylene fibres, Tyvek® allows water vapor to pass through it but not liquid water, meaning it is an excellent choice for a roof breather membrane. Tyvek® protects buildings against condensation, water and the outside elements and is extremely durable. This tough polyethylene membrane is tear resistant yet easily cut to size with a knife or scissors, meaning it is easily installed in a variety of situations and applications. A quality breather membrane not only protects from moisture but also improves the energy efficiency of a property. Products in the Tyvek®range have been specifically designed to improve insulation and cut down on your energy bills. Below are the key product lines in the Tyvek® range.

Tyvek® Supro & Supro Plus

The signature product in the Tyvek® range is the Supro, a market-leading breather membrane. Supro is a durable, water resistant membrane that allows vapor to pass through and avoids condensation build up. Tyvek® Supro is also versatile, not requiring soffit, tile or ridge ventilation for installation; it can even be installed within floors and walls. Rolls are available in 1.5m x 50m dimensions and can easily be cut to the required shapes and sizes.
Supro Plus
An evolution of Supro, Tyvek® Supro Plus offers the same benefits but also includes an adhesive lap tape designed for use in the Tyvek® sealed roof system.
This system seals horizontal laps for improved thermal efficiency.

     Tyvek® Reflex

This is a heat reflective membrane that reflects radiant heat while reducing convective heat loss; meaning it helps to keep things cool in summer and warm in winter. Tyvek® Reflex is a durable breather membrane that is appropriate for both new-builds and insulation upgrades, it is most effective in lightweight wall construction.

Tyvek® FireCurb® Housewrap is a housewrap with an emphasis on fire safety. This membrane is fire retardant and a trusted choice for both commercial and residential properties, utilising the latest technology for optimum performance. When ignited this material will self-extinguish for outstanding levels of fire safety.
